One year ago today Geni,com was launched to the public. The entire Geni Team would like to thank all of our users for a tremendous year - your feedback has been vital in helping us develop Geni into the product it is today. In one year Geni has grown from an easy to build family tree to the best way to find and stay in touch with your family online.
What better way to reflect on our first year than with the new Geni Timeline feature. We expect much more in the next 12 months, so... stay tuned!

As an "original" user from way back when you were...well...beta...(oh...wait), I have to say that I'm impressed with where the site is. The timeline...yeah...that's a compelling feature. In the last month, I have spent a lot of time on your competition sites trying to duplicate what's available on Geni. Simply put...they don't have the refinement you do. I look forward to the next iterations.

Congratulation from me too! GENI is the best web application I have seen since FLICKR, and I try them all! And like FLICKR it took me some time to 'get it' and now I find it a joy to use! (Aside from lack of GEDCOM import, tree merging and integration with FLICKR!) D
