Before starting a new topic, I suggest that you search the Forums using the Search All Forums search box on the front page of the Forums. Your question or suggestion may already have been discussed. Basic questions that have not been covered should be posted in the New to Geni? section.
When posting, keep in mind that this is an open community and refrain from posts which contain:
• potentially offensive language
• personal attacks against other forum users
• accusing a user of creating multiple accounts (AKA sock puppets)
• screenshots or links to any data which another forum member intends as private data
It is each user's personal responsibility to exercise reasonable care in the content and information they elect to post and share publicly. To avoid confusion, 'Geni' is reserved for Geni Team members, and other user's with 'Geni' in their name will be blocked.
If you feel the need to create a thread which will not be of interest to the general audience (i.e. related directly to Geni, genealogy, etc.) please use the 'Off-Topic' category. Any posts in this category will not appear in the Latest Discussions list.
For any issues that require help specific to your tree or account, sending an email to help@geni.com is the best way to receive assistance. Because the nature of the issues often require a user to divulge private information about themselves and/or others to us for resolution, a public forum is not optimal for these purposes. Please do not send help requests as private messages to GeniTeam members. We will not respond. However, feel free to PM us for other reasons.
