I can get to it throught he photos.</p> <p>I can't mark him as being in a photo ... because he isn't considered a relative. So even though I've found him, put in an event, and am working on him, I CAN"T.</p> <p>To get to his node i have to walk through the tree because he doesn't show up in search for me.</p> <p>I have the same issue with other relatives.</p> <p>I desperately need a way to make it so that data for anyone in the tree is visible... given that all involved in the tree have mutually consented. OR AT LEAST let us take the levels of indirection out a bunch more.</p> <p>For those of us using Geni as a tool to help with historical research these limits are very problematic. E.g., I know my aunt would very happily let me have full viewing priv's for her husbands' side. So I don't see the before and after range as solving very much. Take your best guess and check the circa box. A problem is that if you have a range of birth years, the personal timeline will not be able to tell the age at each event. You need to lock on one year.</p> <p>What would be interesting would be ratings of accuracy for all data: 1 for definite, 2 for probably, 3 for just a guess or something like that. To let others know and remind yourself that anything that is not a 1 requires further research. An advanced sort could filter for these parameters. For dates the rating could be: 1 for exact, 2 for close (within 2 years), 3 for within 5 years or whatever. Separate field for day, month and year.
